Welcome to The Music of Judith M. Berman!

Judy Berman (1925-2005) left many legacies, especially her Jewish music. Her countless compositions include sacred services, liturgical settings, songs, arrangements and accompaniments.

We, her three sons, have created this website to make her music freely available, and to promote its use.

We welcome and encourage cantors, soloists, synagogue musicians and anyone interested in Jewish music to browse the site. The compositions, settings and arrangements available within the MUSIC section are listed alphabetically by title as well as by category.

We believe that our mother’s music will speak and sing for itself, calling you to download the works you find here and to play them, offer and share them in your services and schools, and enjoy them. If you do, please acknowledge the contribution of Judy Berman to your experience.

If you download music, we invite you to make a contribution through this site to either the American Conference of Cantors or the Cantors Assembly. We will pass on the entire amount of your contribution to the organization you designate. Contributions are entirely voluntary, and will help continue the vitality, renewal and creativity of Jewish music, especially synagogue music, that Judy Berman so dearly loved.
